ABOUT.

Hi! I’m Meg.

The first thing I ever saved up my allowance for was a tent. I was so excited to have my own space to set up when going camping with my family in Oregon in the 90’s.

I started Exterior Medicine because of the huge irony in camping gear, and outdoor gear in general. The vast majority of tents, water jugs, and hiking clothing are made with PVC, plastic, polyester, and PFAS — they pollute both our bodies and the environment around us right as we’re trying to connect more deeply with nature.

I’m also the founder and owner of Interior Medicine, a resource for non-toxic furniture, healthy design, and organic decor. My mission is to prevent disease by making the homes we spend so much time in, healthier. I bring the same mission to Exterior Medicine— our outdoor homes should be just as healthy as our indoor ones.
